Let’s Zoo Science, March 2014

Today we attended Let’s Zoo Science at the Akron Zoo. This is the last homeschool program for the 2013-2014 academic year.

O8’s class talked about the life cycle of a butterfly. They had a chance to touch real butterfly specimens in the zoo’s permanent mounted collection.

They also made insect goggles as a fun but informative craft.

S9’s class talked about native plants and how they affect insects and other animals in a biome.

As a good-bye gift, they also received field journals.
