Today was the first violin lesson for just O7! S8 got her actual Federation results back. As we suspected, the scores and comments were very disparate. The one judge was obviously much harsher than the other two. Tina has filed for the federation to reconsider S8’s score, along with two other students. She did receive a Superior for her Theory test, though.
Meanwhile, O7 practiced Andantino and we started thinking about which would be her working piece for Suzuki camp. She reviewed Perpetual Motion and worked on placing the 4th finger properly, and also keeping the bow in the center of the playing area.
O7 made it through most of her lesson but did break down into tears towards the end, so we stopped.
We will not have lessons next week as Tina will be out of town for Easter.
In the evening, we went to dinner with Papa. He showed the kids how to write their names in the cyrillic alphabet.
They wanted to practice the cool-looking characters, too.
