Tunnel Books Class 2 of 3

Today we went to the second Tunnel Books class at the Butler Institute of American Art.

There are actually four classes in the series, but we will have to miss the last one since it’s during our Kalahari trip.  Mrs. George said that the kids would probably finish up by the next class, anyway, so it won’t matter much.  We can stay late next week if we need to so they can wrap up their projects.

After class, we had lunch in the museum’s cafe with A8 and E7.

While we waited for our food, the girls created clubs. S8’s Club had an intricate sign-up sheet. She wasn’t sure if everyone would want her to be the leader of her own club, though. So she just suggested it.

Then we went home and did some chores and started dinner before heading back out for gymnastics.

O7 went to her gym class and S8 sat with me for the first hour.  She read Secret of the Hidden Staircase, second in the Nancy Drew series, while she waited for her class to start.  Then she went out on the floor for the second hour.  They both love gym and work pretty hard out on the floor, even while they seem to be laughing and smiling the entire time.  I think this was a good move for us.
