Today we attended our second of six classes at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
In S8’s Rockhounds class, they learned about different types of rocks and the Mohs scale of hardness. The kids had to sort rocks into different types and arrange them in order of hardness. They also broke up pieces of coal.
In O6’s class, they talked about architecture. The kids saw examples of columns and arches, visited the architecture exhibit in the museum, and acted out different types of structures (arch, dome, etc).
