Zoo School: South America

Today we went to the Akron Zoo for their monthly homeschool class. This one was titled “South America”. The kids learned about the animals in the zoo that come from our southern continental neighbor, like Capybaras and Jaguars.

They got to see a kinkajou up close when one of the handlers brought it in to their class.

They also put on a play of a folk tale that centers around south American wildlife. S7 was a butterfly, which she really liked.

O6 did not attend today as she was under the weather, but she and I walked around the zoo a little bit and got to see her favorite: the snow leopard. (We also got to see my favorite: the lemurs!)
